25th Annual Tea & Tonic

Thursday, May 9 | 12:30 – 3:30 PM

Park Hyatt Aviara

7100 Aviara Resort Drive

Carlsbad, CA 9201

Dear Friend of CCS,

Center for Community Solutions hopes to partner with you on our 25th Annual Tea & Tonic event, which raises critical funds for survivors of relationship and sexual violence.

Our event will take place at the Park Hyatt Aviara on Thursday, May 9, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. In addition to a brief program featuring our guest speaker, our event also features an auction, live music, and plenty of opportunities to mingle.

We are thrilled to welcome this year's guest speaker, Tarana Burke! For more than 25 years, activist, advocate, and author Tarana J. Burke has worked at the intersection of sexual violence and racial justice. Fueled by commitments to interrupt sexual violence and other systemic inequalities disproportionately impacting marginalized people, particularly Black women and girls, Tarana has created and led various campaigns focused on increasing access to resources and support for impacted communities, including the ‘me too.’ Movement, which has galvanized millions of survivors and allies around the world, and the ‘me too.’ International nonprofit organization, founded in 2018. Her New York Times bestselling books You Are Your Best Thing and Unbound have illuminated the power of healing, vulnerability, and storytelling in the movement to end sexual violence.

Sponsorships range from $3,000 to $50,000 and we also have tailored sponsorships upon request. Our annual Tea & Tonic event sells out each year and draws an average of 400-500 supporters. We feature high-profile speakers who attract media, and all proceeds support our mission to end relationship violence and sexual assault. As an event supporter, our approach is to continue an ongoing partnership with you – because we know that keeping the conversation going is critical to change culture and prevent assault.

CCS is a regional leader in relationship violence and sexual assault intervention and prevention. Since 1969, CCS has saved and changed countless lives and provided a voice for the voiceless. Today, CCS operates four domestic violence shelter programs and manages one of the most active Rape Crisis Centers in the state. Our prevention efforts are extensive, with an emphasis on including youth and adults in being a part of solutions in their own communities.

We welcome the opportunity to answer any questions and hope to work with you soon!
